Dutch Roots

In July 2018 the NVLJ organized the IFAJ2018 World Congress Dutch Roots in the Netherlands to show the global appeal of the Dutch agri- and horticulture.

Many countries have Dutch roots in their agriculture. For instance in the shape of emigrated Dutch farmers and horticulturists, by means of applying knowledge gained at Wageningen University and Research (WUR), or thanks to Dutch agribusiness enterprises which contribute to the local development of agri- and horticulture.

Participants of the IFAJ2018 World Congress sent over 80 stories to share. Many more stories in text and image, as a result of our congress programme, reached agricultural media throughout the world thanks to over 200 participants, representing more than 45 countries. The Dutch Roots website welcomed visitors from 124 countries.
